Did you know that you can find some of the best fabric by the yard for sale on Amazon?
I had no idea Amazon was even selling fabric until I was shopping for upholstery fabric for my DIY Upholstered Farmhouse Bench. And jackpot! I found some of the best fabric by the yard for sale. I’m one of those people that hates going to the stores. It’s just kind of a hassle when you’re busy and you have little kids around. So, I buy anything and everything I can on Amazon. Seriously, diapers, paper towels, and detergent just magically appears here whenever I need it. I love that!
The bad thing about Amazon is that their search engine just isn’t that great at showing you things like upholstery fabrics, home decor and clothes. Or at least not for me. I can’t figure out how to filter it to show me just the cool and relevant stuff. You know, it’ll show me a few nice things, then it’s all the sudden horrible or completely off topic stuff. It’s like you have to know the designers name and the color for a good search.
So, I did loads and loads of searches using the designers name and different colors or descriptions. Today, I’m sharing some of the top picks that I’ve saved for later. Hopefully, I’ll find some excuses to use more of this fabric by the yard. I’ve already used 2 of the upholstery fabrics. One for my bench and another for a chair remodel… reveal coming soon.
It was so easy to buy. They delivered it within a few days and the quality is great. The fabric is strong and the colors are exactly as they looked online. So, I’m happy to share these favorites. Check out the trendy arrows and feathers. I love them! Some of these are upholstery fabric, some are for clothing and bedding, and a few are indoor/outdoor fabrics. All of them are sold as fabric by the yard. I hope this helps you find something you’ll love!

It’s always nice to find some new prints! Thanks for sharing your finds!
I find it a bit challenging to search for fabric on line due to the numerous samples and the need to “feel” the texture. I am in need of a fabric for a built in bench and I would like to redo my loveseat. Thank you for the recommendation to visit Amazon!
I hope you find something you love too! Both of mine have been great. 🙂
I’ve bought fabric off eBay and Etsy but not yet Amazon. Their quantity is very overwhelming. Visiting from Whims Wednesday.
It is and their search engine isn’t quite designed to make it easy to find what you like. But the quality of the two I’ve ordered so far has been great! 🙂
Thank you for this! I came here via your post on your farmhouse/ rustic style bench. While my aesthetic is different, you got my wheels turning for some mid century pieces in dire need of help! Plus the tips on how you did it were great, even though I’ve reupholstered many pieces, I hadn’t ever thought of using spray adhesive for the batting – genius! I love that most of these picks have a vintage look to them, definitely going to check out Amazon – especially if I need foam, it’s so bloody expensive! Love that you included outdoor fabric links, have a few pieces I inherited in need that would be perfect on our huge old covered porch, make it look a little more like an outdoor room, since that’s how it’s used. Thanks again for all the great tips! Cheers! ⚡️Jet

PS forgot to mention your little “helper” on the other post, precious!
I was not aware that you could buy fabric at Amazon. Good to know. The fabric with the foxes is really nice.
I love that one! Thanks, Leanna.
I love the foxes to and I am a big fan of dandelions and have them in my bedroom so that that fabric would make the perfect bedspread
I think that dandelion fabric may be next on my buy list. It’s just so pretty!
I had no idea Amazon sold fabric by the yard. This will come in handy because I don’t live near a fabric store! Thanks for sharing the tip with us at the #HomeMattersParty last week.
Awesome, I was hoping other people would be as excited as me. 🙂
So many pretty fabrics Stephanie. I would be really hard pressed to pick one, or two, or even three. The blues are my favorite.
I love pretty fabrics! I don’t always know what to do with them, but they’re fun to look at
Me too, Jessica!
