How To Hang Giant Spiders And Webs on A House
I am a huge fan of over-the-top Halloween decorations. And, I really, really like it when a whole house is decorated with a theme.
In fact, I put together a big post recently that covers 5 of my favorite scary Halloween themes for outside a house. And, Giant Spiders is absolutely my favorite on that list!

But, I am LOVING this quick and easy Giant Spider Halloween theme. It only took about an hour to put everything up. And, I was working alone. It was super simple!
Here’s everything you need to know about how to attach spiders to a house and how to hang spider webs.
How To Hang Giant Spiders Outdoors
Here’s a better look at how easy it was to give my whole house a Giant Spider Halloween makeover with just 10 Spiders and 2 Large Webs. Keep scrolling for written steps.
Is It Easy To Attach Spiders & Spider Webs To A House?
One reason these Giant Spiders are great is the bendable wires in their legs. The wire makes it easy to attach spiders to a house with command clips, they also wrap around webs, and more.
That means you can easily shape them for a realistic spider pose. And, you can fold them up into a small box when it’s time to pack everything away. I LOVE that!
These Giant Spider Halloween decorations are super affordable too. I spent just $85 to get this look that I’ll use for years!
The third reason I love this Giant Spider theme is their SIZE. They’re big, so you don’t need a lot to cover even a long house like mine.
Which means you can get a huge over the top look in no time. It only took me about an hour to unfold, shape, and hang these giant spiders and spider webs on my house.
Now, let’s talk about how to hang spiders on brick, stucco, or siding outdoors.
How To Hang Giant Spiders on a House
There are many ways that you can hang these Giant Spiders on your house, without damaging the surface. And, without making any holes.
If you have smooth siding, stucco or painted brick that’s pretty smooth, like mine, you can use 3M Outdoor Command Clear Light Clips.
Those Outdoor Command Clips and other Command Strips work on glass, doors, and shutters too. For brick that isn’t painted, you can use damage-free brick clips to hang spiders on a house.
For glass and other smooth surfaces, you can also use heavy duty suction cup hooks. And, last but not least, heavy duty, Double-Sided Mounting Tape is another great option for hanging decorations outside.
Some of these can work on partially rough surfaces, like some bricks, stucco, and stone surfaces. Hopefully, one of these will work on your house.
How To Hang Spider Webs Outdoors
The 2 huge webs I used make it SO EASY to hang spider webs on a house. The bottom of the webs are held tight to the ground with ground stakes. The stakes came with my webs.
The top of the web has a gutter hook. So, you can quickly hang it on a gutter, a hook hung on the side of the house, or anywhere else you can hang a hook on your house.
I was afraid that my gutter would be bent if I hung the hook there, so I hung mine under the gutter. Watch the video above to see exactly what I did.
