The boys’ bedroom is once again my favorite room in the house!
It’s time for the big reveal, guys! And I’m so excited to share it with you. The whole room is full of awesome DIY projects, affordable decor, and fun boys bedroom ideas. I’m loving it and so are my boy’s!
If you saw my original makeover plans for the boys bedroom, you might notice that the plans kind of changed along the way. Some new things were added, some were dropped. I think it’s always important to stay flexible during a makeover and keep asking yourself what still fits as you add new pieces to the room. Go with your gut and what you love!
I hope you find something to inspire your makeover. If you follow this blog, you know I DIY anything and everything I can. DIY either saves me lots of money (Yea!) or gives me the exact look I want. If I can’t find something in the stores that fits my rooms, I’ll build it. Like the boys’ DIY Upholstered Twin Headboards. The store bought headboards come in limited colors and fabrics. And many of them just felt cheap or boring. If you aren’t interested in building a headboard, this upholstered headboard from Target gets great reviews and comes in lots of fun colors too!
Building my own headboards meant I could go for custom paint and fabric to perfectly match the room and our tastes. But, don’t worry, you can buy a lot of the items in this room too. So, if you’re not a big fan of DIY, I can help you too. Let’s get to it! 🙂
