Who loves getting cute decor and a fun way to display memories at the same time? ME!
When the folks at the Canvas Factory asked me to try out their service and host a great giveaway for my followers I was ecstatic, guys! I’m one of those moms that can’t take enough pictures of her kids. AND I was already working on the boys bedroom makeover plans. So, this was definitely the perfect addition to the plans. I love how this fun photo canvas bedroom decor idea turned out!
I was provided free product for this post. But as always, my opinion and review of the product are my true reaction and opinion about this product. I would never recommend something that I wouldn’t pay for. Read my full disclaimer here.
It’s always cute when a little kid’s room has their name spelled out on the wall. Especially when the names are over the beds. With 2 boy’s in 1 room I thought, instead of names, it’d be more fun to put a cute picture of each boy over their bed. And they love those pictures of themselves with our donkeys!
To keep your kid involved and feeling like they really get to have a say in their room, let them have a say in which pictures are used. You might pick a few that are high quality and that you like, first. Then let them have the final selection. I also like to use free photo editing software to try and give each picture a polished look.
If you’re going for more than 1 photo canvas, like I did, you might want to go with a similar style, color, or theme too. It helps the room feel more cohesive. If you’re comfortable with a photo editing software, I’d also give them a similar ‘light’ or exposure level. Keeping them at the same exposure level helps tie them together.
But in the end, the most important part is that you love the picture and get a high-quality print. Both of my canvases arrived from the Canvas Factory in great condition and are really beautifully made. The website was super easy and quick to use too. I went for the option to add a colored band around the canvas. I went with grey to match the boys room. Adding the colored band is another fun way to tie this photo canvas bedroom decor idea into the style of the room.
But, a kids room isn’t the only place for a beautiful photo canvas! Decorating with your memories works in any room. So, add that perfect family vacation photo to the living room. Maybe a funny pet picture for the powder room. A cool sports shot of a family member or a trip to a Pro Game would look great in a Game Room. Or a beautiful beach scene from that once in a lifetime trip, for your bedroom. There are so many ways to use photo canvases in your home.
Now, onto the fun part! I got to give one of my email subscribers a 16″x16″ or 16″x20″ photo canvas, from the Canvas Factory. Thanks to everyone that entered. If you didn’t win this time, be sure to sign up for the email newsletter to find out when I have the next giveaway. And for the fun DIY’s too. 🙂
