Typically my YouTube channel is full of Step by Step DIY tutorials, home improvement, and remodeling projects.  But this video is more about showing you lots of ideas and inspo to help you create your own DIY Christmas Table Decorations with what you might already have at home. Watch it to see more details and Christmas decor inspiration that didn’t make it on to this page. 🙂

Here’s What You’ll Need

Start with Somewhere to “Set the Scene”

Like a big glass vase, decorative bowl, glass cookie or candy dish, wooden bowls, small shallow trays, dough bowls would be cute, really just look around all of your shelves and storage areas for something that might work.

This glass container has iridescent fake snow and a string of LED lights as the base for a Christmas Village scene.

Add a Christmas-y Base

Like iridescent fake snow, tiny foam balls, polyfill stuffing, or even some white, fluffy fabric.

Wrap Bottle Brush trees with embroidery floss or Christmas present wrapping twine to make them look more Christmas-y

Then Make your Own Christmas Scene

Use a that mini Christmas train most people have, a few ornaments from your favorite Christmas movie, or your kids favorite Disney ornaments to design a little scene. Maybe some cute little gnomes with little snow covered mountains or mini Nutcrackers.

Or grab some retro Red Truck Christmas decor and miniature Christmas figurines to build a nostalgic scene. Little woodland creatures would be super cute too. You can really go 1,000 different ways with these DIY Christmas table decorations.

Add those popular bottle brush trees, mini Christmas houses, or pine cones. Light from LED tea lights and mini wired LED strings add warmth and fun to any scene. I highly recommend checking the Target dollar spot for fun and super cheap Christmas decor. I found those little wooden houses for $3 there, this week.

A few bottle brush trees, a Red Truck Christmas Ornament, and the $3 Christmas house I found at the Target Dollar Spot make a cute little scene. I put LED tea lights in the house. Make sure to use LED lights so that they don’t produce heat that can start a fire.
